The Writer’s Residence founded by Elyna Douglas, started from a feeling. The kind you get when something’s missing, even when everything looks perfect from the outside.

After years of living in London, consumed by city noise and working in big tech, trying to squeeze creativity into spare moments, I realised what I needed wasn’t more pressure it was more space.

Space to think. To write. To reconnect with myself. And to do it in a way that didn’t feel rigid, exclusive, or overly curated. Now based in Mallorca, The Writer’s Residence is a creative home for self-expression. We host writing groups, playful workshops, soulful sessions and collaborative events that centre writing as a way to come back to yourself.

It’s not about being a writer. It’s about being honest on the page. Saying what you mean. Making room for joy, for emotion, for discovery, all through your words.

Sometimes we write in studios, sometimes in cafés, sometimes outside with the sun on our faces. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s messy. But it’s always real.

This is a space for curiosity, connection, and stories that start with a feeling and unfold into something bigger. Whether you're here to explore, create, heal or just see what shows up when you slow down, you're in the right place.
